What Do You Want From Gorilla Highlands Travels?

Last week we invited you to dive deep with us and reflect on how we’ve been using Bluesky. The survey is still open — we’d love to hear your thoughts! But now our focus is shifting from the media baby called Gorilla Highlands Unpacked to our digital toddler nurtured since 2021: Gorilla Highlands Travels.

In the very beginning she was called the Daily Dose, delivering high-quality articles from local and international experts every single day. But as the Covid pandemic subsided and free time became less abundant, our posting frequency declined…

A little over a year ago, in February 2024, we set our current approach in motion: team-signed articles appearing consistently on this blog, Instagram and Facebook; same content, shared across platforms. By mid-year, we had settled into a steady weekly rhythm.

The main purpose of the 2024 version of GH Travels was to show us in action: our audience got vibrant updates from our tour work and youth program, news from our location on Lake Bunyonyi, an occasional article about fascinating destinations in the region, and practical travel tips.

As mentioned in our last week’s piece, we now have a big team of helpers, so we can be excited about exploring new horizons! But as we gain new followers, we wouldn’t want to lose you, our loyal audience! That’s why we’ve put together a short, 5-question GH Travels poll in the Instagram story format (also available on our Facebook page).
