Gorilla Highlands Experts are 20+ local and global specialists — from park rangers to culinary masters — promoting and developing the Gorilla Highlands region shared by Rwanda, Uganda and DR Congo. We are the non-profit sister organisation of a tour company called Gorilla Highlands Ltd.

We have joined hands because we believe that wildlife can only thrive if the communities around national parks are doing well; see more in the Washington Post article about us.

We are piloting Youth Spaces, make the SEE AFRICA BREATHE AFRICA podcast and organise tour guide training. Our most popular product is the Gorilla Highlands Pocket Guide and our biggest annual gathering the Gorilla Highlands Silverchef cooking competition and networking event.

We advise the tourism, hospitality and media industry, tapping into an incomparable pool of knowledge and skills — as long as they agree that tourism should be responsible.
